Stephen Birmingham

Stephen joined the Board of MYCW in 2005. He received his B.A. in Economics from Boston College, founded The Inner City Scholarship Fund Professional’s Team in 1995 and lives with his family in Dover, MA. Currently, Stephen oversees the business development and marketing for NBW Capital, an investment firm that advises individuals and institutions. He has 30 years marketing experience working for Boston area firms such as Windward Investment Management and Hub Folding Box Company.

Thomas J. Caracciolo

Tom has been involved with MYCW since he joined the Board in 2015. He has 25+ years investing in and working with mid-sized businesses and has successfully consummated 40+ middle-market transactions with an aggregate value of more than $1 billion. Prior to joining Dubin Clark in 1997, Tom was a partner at TCW Capital, a $750 million of private equity and mezzanine fund. Previously, he was a member of GE Capital’s Corporate Finance Group. Tom received a B.S. from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, and serves on the board of directors of Action Target, Reel Power, Sentient Medical Systems, Merex Group, Restoration Parts Unlimited and Peterson Party Center.

Aisha Yasin-Celester

Aisha joined the Board of MYCW in 2015. She received her B.A. from the University of Massachusetts Boston and her M.B.A. from Simmons College School of Management. She has over 12 years of experience in community relations, marketing and communications. Aisha is passionate about social justice and environmental causes, continues to volunteer with organizations that focus on youth and the community and also serves on the Board of Save the Harbor Save the Bay.

Michael D. Doyle

Mike has been involved with MYCW since he joined the Board in 2008. Mike is a principal at Lighthouse Asset Finance, LLC, a specialty investment banking organization. He has over 25 years of experience in the leasing and asset finance industry and serves on several industry, corporate, and charitable boards. Mike holds a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College and an M.S. in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College.

Michael Glynn

Michael has been involved with MYCW for over 5 years. He attended Providence College where he earned his B.S. in Finance. He then furthered his education at the New England School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctorate. Michael then went on to serve as the Assistant District Attorney for Suffolk County. Along with his siblings, Michael now serves as partner at the Glynn Hospitality Group.

Deborah McGonigle

Debbie joined the Board of MYCW in 2014. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross, and an M.B.A. from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. She has over 18 years of marketing experience in addition to working in strategy consulting positions at Liberty Mutual. She began her career in public accounting working for Deloitte & Touche.

Henry (Hank) L. Murphy III

Hank joined the Board of MYCW in 2005. Since 2006, Hank has served as chairperson of the MYCW Board. He received a B.A. in Economics from Boston College, a Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School and a Master of Laws from Boston College School of Law. Hank is a corporate attorney who has worked at Fidelity Investments for over 15 years. He has served on multiple charitable boards, primarily focused on youth and social welfare activities.

Erik Pearson

Prudential Lyons Group Real Estate, Boston, MA

Erik joined the board of MYCW in 2005. He holds a BS in business from Northeastern University and has been in the real estate industry for the past 10 years. Erik runs the day to day operations in a downtown Boston real estate company and oversees the relocation business through Berkshire Hathaway and Brookfield Relocation Inc.

Eric Slifka


9President, Chief Executive Officer and Director

Eric Slifka was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Partners LP in March 2005 and also was named to the Board of Directors of the Partnership’s general partner. In addition to successfully guiding Global’s initial public offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange, over the past nine years Slifka has overseen the significant growth of the business through strategic acquisitions and organic projects. Under his leadership, Global has expanded from its New England roots as a regional wholesaler of refined petroleum products to a Fortune 500 company with 2013 sales of more than $19 billion, operating income in excess of $85 million and a diverse base of energy customers across the United States.

Slifka has been in the energy industry since 1987. Before becoming Global’s president and CEO, he served predecessor organizations in leadership roles, as well as in senior positions in the accounting, supply, distribution and marketing departments. He is a member of the National Petroleum Council and serves on the board of directors of the New England Fuel Institute, Energy Policy Research Foundation, Inc., Massachusetts Youth Committed to Winning, Inc. and Massachusetts General Hospital President’s Council. Slifka previously served on the board of directors of The New York Oil Heat Association, National Oilheat Research Alliance and Buckingham, Browne & Nichols.

Murphy Vandervelde

Winding River Healthcare Partners, Wellesley, MA

Vandervelde has been involved with MYCW since its inception and joined the Board in 2015. A graduate of Trinity College in Hartford, CT, Murphy has over 25 years of experience in public and private finance; including Fleet Investment Advisors, Columbia Management and Navigator Asset Management. Currently he is a Managing Partner at Winding River Healthcare Partners based in Wellesley, MA. Murphy has served as a member of the Board of Fellows at Trinity College and currently serves as a trustee for several charitable trusts.
